Gathered here are the Oppositelock posts that people put a good deal of effort into writing on Friday. Today it includes a non-asshat cyclist who drives a truck, automotive sales people, the Alfa Romeo Montreal and more.

I ride my bike - the pedal kind - a lot. Like, to and from work everyday, even through cold, snowy winter. I do my errands on it, go to visit friends, and ride with our kids to and from school, and their friends' houses. We're a biking family. We're not sanctimonious assholes about it, we just really like bikes. Our vehicle is a much beloved 2003 Tundra step side.

Private Automobile Club [FS] - Car enthusiasts worldwide woke up to the shocking news that another automotive journalist attending a Subaru event enjoyed driving Subaru's new sport coupe offering, the BRZ. Sources indicate that after driving the car, the journalist raved about the purity of the driving dynamics and the low-slung seating position, but complained that the Subaru-hosted catering for the event didn't include Munster cheese.

I am a professional car-buying consultant. That means people pay me to help them figure out what to buy ( I know, crazy right?) and negotiate on their behalf so they save time and money on their auto purchase. I do not do this full-time, but I have done it long enough where I would like to share my experiences with the hope that it will benefit all of you. While Jalopnik is not one of consumer focused websites, I thought it was time that we had our own take on the purchasing part of the industry.

Oh, sandpaper of grit 2500,
Thou art most remarkable.
Quickly leveling my touch ups.
Making paint ready for my D.A.
Upon headlights most yellow and cloudy
Though allows them to return
To a clear demeanor.

Using the universally awesome automotive formula, namely V8 RWD M/T, let’s look at a car from a brand which isn’t often bestowed with this configuration. The Alfa Romeo Montreal is an exceptionally rare and stylized machine, but also an example as to why a spec sheet doesn’t tell the whole story.

Over the years I’ve come to appreciate and respect the Fast & Furious saga. The films don't offer a deep metaphysical look into humanity nor will they ever win any prestigious awards or accolades, aside from those given by a tequila-infused Jalopnik scribe. The films are 100% entertainment.
